Belotti booth at Jec World 2026

26 March 2026

Partnership and technological innovation: these are the pillars that supported Belotti’s participation in the 2026 edition of the leading international trade fair for the composite materials industry.
In the year marking the company’s 50th anniversary, the event served as the ideal stage for the official launch of Belotti Powered by Moi, the new hybrid platform that integrates additive manufacturing of thermoset matrix composites and high-precision CNC milling into a single machining center.
Developed in collaboration with Moi Composites, a spin off of Politecnico di Milano, the entire range of Belotti 5-axis machining centers can now integrate Moi Composites’ SFM® (Short Fiber Manufacturing) technology, revolutionizing the concept of additive manufacturing—until now associated mainly with thermoplastic materials—thanks to the innovative high speed deposition of short-fiber thermosetting composites, UV polymerized in situ and immediately machinable through CNC milling.

Belotti Powered by Moi: key advantages

Operational at the booth and officially presented during the conference titled “Thermosetting composites additive manufacturing: towards hybrid technologies” held by Alberto Riganti (Sales Product Manager, Belotti SpA) and Tommaso Geri (CTO, Moi Composites), the new gantry style hybrid platform stands out for:

  • Operational flexibility: production can be paused and resumed later, or enriched with additional layers.
  • High deposition speed, up to 400 mm/s.
  • Different working areas, thanks to the implementation of SFM® technology across the entire Belotti range.
  • Tight machining tolerances, ensured by high precision milling operations.
  • Unmatched time-to-market, guaranteed by consecutive additive and subtractive manufacturing within a single work environment.

Belotti Powered by Moi is available as a native integration or as a retrofit option on the entire range of Belotti machining centers.

Live demo: from additive manufacturing to honeycomb panel milling

Through a hands on approach, the additive and subtractive manufacturing phases took center stage in the daily live demos held at the booth.
The lamination mould of a drone for the aerospace sector (printed with a Belotti Powered by Moi FLA 4018 Series machining center) showcased a concrete application case, highlighting operational flexibility, process continuity, and machining precision through the Stop & Go and continuous deposition functionalities.
The CNC milling sessions focused on machining honeycomb materials, with roughing, finishing, and trimming operations performed using tools from technology partner Neuhäuser and SoniCut ultrasonic cutting systems. A concrete example of how complementary technologies can be integrated to ensure quality and precision even on complex materials.

From moulds to finished components

The booth also featured a selection of sample parts selected to demonstrate the application potential and performance of Belotti’s 5 axis machining technologies across various industries (automotive, motorsport, marine, and aerospace).
Among them:

  • Automotive and motorsport components, such as the front cofango of the Kimera EVO37, the Restomod project by Kimera Automobili, named Performance Car of the Year 2026 by BBC Top Gear.
  • Front nose and rear wing in composite material from a Formula 1 replica show car.
  • Aerospace parts, such as the protective spinner cone for tiltrotor propellers.
  • A thermoplastic lamination tool for composite components produced with a Belotti BEAD machining center.

Multiple samples manufactured with Belotti Powered by Moi technology were also showcased: from the lamination tool for automotive composite components to the scaled mould for wind turbine blade production, and the 3D printed end-use console of the “GARI 655” motorboat.
All components provided concrete examples of the advantages offered by the new hybrid platform: multi directional deposition, printing accuracy, high precision, and excellent surface finish quality.

A successful edition, between new orders and growth opportunities

JEC World once again proved to be a benchmark for the entire composite ecosystem, fostering dialogue among companies, technology partners, and international decision makers—from material suppliers to manufacturers of processing technologies.
For our company, the 2026 edition concluded with tangible results, including the signing of a major contract for the supply of a Belotti FLA Series machining center to a renowned industry leader in motorsport and automotive composite applications.
We extend our sincere thanks to the customers, technology partners, collaborators, and visitors who helped make this edition truly special. We look forward to seeing you again next year, from March 2-4, at JEC World 2027.
