Series of simultaneous 5-axis machining centers ideal for machining patterns and moulds, especially in aluminium.
Belotti SKY cnc centres are particularly suitable for milling light alloys patterns and moulds, resin prototypes for design centers and for trimming structural components in composite materials.
Description
The Belotti SKY Series is the ideal solution for the production of moulds and patterns in aluminum and composite materials, designed to respond above all to specific applications in the automotive and aeronautical sectors.
Belotti SKY cnc machining centers have a monolithic structure, complete with internal ribs and thermally stabilized to increase machining precision and stability over time. The Belotti patented fork head, compact and rigid, is equipped with torque motors and hydraulic locking brakes on the rotary axes, which guarantee a higher degree of surface finish during the simultaneous machining of the linear axes interpolated with rotary axes A and C. The total protection enclosures, the vision cameras in the spindle housing for the verification of the work cycle and the monitoring of unattended machining, the suction system with motorized hood and the cooling liquid system with filters and chip conveyor for the processing of high volumes of aluminum (also available in the special version for composite materials), are optional elements that contribute to the maximum cleanliness and safety of the working environment.

Fork head
The 5-axis head with cast iron fork structure, patented by Belotti S.p.A., ensures very high accuracy during machining operations. It is also equipped with hydraulic brakes on the rotary axes A and C. C axis movement is managed by a torque motor, while the A axis is activated by double motor with torque multiplier and backlash resetting. It is suggested to increase the component finishing quality during the simultaneous machining of linear axes interpolated with rotary axes A and C. The head with the A axis spindle center of rotation out of phase, can reach an undercut of 45 °, allowing the machining of the piece in the lower part.
Thanks to its symmetry, it guarantees better stability and rigidity; it is particularly suitable for aluminium machining and is the ideal solution for the automotive, aeronautical and mechanical sectors.
Dust suction grids with air ducting and requalification
The machining center is equipped with dust extraction grids positioned on the front or the rear side of the machine, allowing good dust extraction during milling operations.
Suction hood
High pressure suction system for 5-axis head with electronic control for the removal of dust and chips in the working area. The extension of the electronic hood adapts automatically according to the length of the tool and the machining depth of the piece.
Total enclosure with moving roof - SKY
The total enclosure, made of sound-absorbing panels, is designed to guarantee compliance to the current European noise rules for machining centers.
The automatic upper doors have a suitable opening for loading of parts through bridge crane.
Manual lower doors have a wide opening to enable loading of pieces according to the machine strokes.
Upper rolling shutter
Motorized rolling shutter that limits the escape of chips from the workstation area, making the opening and closing task easy and quick and allowing the overhead travelling crane loading.
The special translucent fabric guarantees ample light in the work area, already artificially illuminated.
