A new roundabout has recently been inaugurated in the Municipality of Suisio, home to our headquarters. This strategic infrastructure project marks the completion of a long planning and construction process developed through the collaboration between the Municipal Administration, the Province of Bergamo, and Belotti SpA.
The project was carried out as part of the Development Plan promoted by our company and was entirely financed by Belotti. The result is a tangible example of how cooperation between the public and private sectors can generate real benefits for the entire community.
Located at the intersection of Viale Europa (SP170), Via Kennedy, and Via dei Piazzoli, the roundabout was designed to improve the safety of one of the area’s historically most critical intersections, a key connection point between the residential area and the industrial, commercial, and service district. The new road layout offers numerous advantages, including improved traffic flow, safer access to the many businesses located in the area, and the creation of a protected crossing that allows pedestrians and cyclists to travel safely between the town center and the area beyond the provincial road.
What makes this infrastructure even more meaningful is its dedication to Eng. Luciano Belotti, founder of the company and a key figure in the industrial development of the local area. This recognition is a source of great pride and emotion for us, honoring an entrepreneur who transformed vision, technical expertise, and a spirit of innovation into a company that grew alongside its community.
As Belotti SpA celebrates its fiftieth anniversary (1976–2026), this roundabout takes on a significance that goes far beyond its infrastructural function: it becomes the symbol of a long-standing bond between business and community, built on the commitment to create value not only through technology and innovation, but also through a concrete dedication to the local area.
At the center of the roundabout stands an art installation designed by architect Davide Pagliarini of the New Landscapes studio in Bergamo. The work interprets Belotti’s identity through an essential and contemporary visual language. The bridge, the central element of the composition, becomes a metaphor for innovation and the ability to create connections: between people, ideas, technologies, and expertise. It is an image that tells the story of Belotti, a company that for fifty years has built its future by bringing together experience and research, tradition and innovation, subtractive and additive manufacturing.
As architect Davide Pagliarini explains:
“Bridges connect, while at the same time they overcome boundaries that were previously impassable. A bridge takes the ground from beneath our feet, because in life one must be willing to take risks, allowing us to move forward suspended, yet confident in our ability to manage uncertainty by challenging it—an essential prerequisite for every enterprise.
In a disordered landscape, congested with signs that raise the background noise without conveying any meaning, Belotti’s new presence emerges quietly. It introduces an unexpected sense of calm; it is the manifesto of a new balance. It crosses a broad and open lunar-like space, stretching a rope between two extremes. A new landmark is born to define and enhance this landscape, not far from the valley through which the Adda River flows. The concrete used to build the Belotti SpA monument recalls the rocks through which the river has carved its bed.”
This work perfectly embodies the values that have guided our company since its foundation: the courage to innovate, the ability to embrace new challenges, and the determination to build lasting connections between technology, people, and the local community.
